NBS PTO Bowling Moms at the Brunswick Lanes on Tuesdays at 9am. Meet other moms for a morning of friend ship and fun. Babysitting available. Contact Marge Hamilton.

North Barrington School Spirit Wear! Order your very own nifty Spirit Wear! Orders will be placed in September, so send in your orders by Friday, September 7 to get your very own, very cool, very personalized Spirit Wear to wear all year! Contact Chrissie Mena or Stacy Leber with questions.

New this year! Better security for our children during the school day! NBS has installed a new security system to better serve the community. During the school day, you must be "buzzed in" by pressing the new doorbell all to the way to the left of the main doors. Please bring in your driver's license or state ID to Joan or Noreen to scan and register you in the system. When you visit the school, you will receive a visitor pass with your picture on it. Any parent coming to the first PTO meeting on Thursday September 6 will have an opportunity to receive a laminated school ID card.

2007 NBS Book Fair Blizzard is coming October 15 - 18! Students and Teachers can fill out their wish list when they visit the Fair as a class. Book purchases can be made anytime during our opening hours on 10/15-10/18. We need volunteers! The Box Tops for Education contest to raise money for NBS!  Send in your clipped Box Tops in an envelope labeled with your student’s and teacher's name. The contest runs thru Wednesday Oct. 24th.  More information to follow! Contact Betsy Dettman or Kate Freund with questions.

*Optional* Sunday, Oct. 14th, 5:00-7:00 p.m. 'Campfire Songs' @ Fox River Preserve and Marina, on Roberts Rd. west of Rt. 59 (after River Rd. and before Darrell Rd.) in Lake Barrington.  Transportation is on your own.  Water & snack will be provided. The Permission Slip must be handed in to Jeanette Collier by Oct. 9th at the latest because the are due at the council the next morning.

*Meeting* Monday, Oct. 15th, 4:00-5:30 p.m. Eco-Explorer Nature Walk @ Lake County Forest Preserve/Discovery Museum on Rt. 176 and Fairfield Rd. just outside of Wauconda.  Transportation is on your own.  Water & snack will be provided.  Please remember to wear gym shoes that day :) The Permission Slip must be handed in to Jeanette Collier by Saturday, October 13th (please get these in on time out of courtesy to the parents supplying snack so they have an accurate headcount).
